Effective 19 September 2026
You must be at least 18 to hold an account. You agree to give accurate account information, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and use the service lawfully.
Quick Homes operates two marketplaces: E-MAKAZI, where landlords, agents and referrers advertise rentals, and E-KARIAKOO, where approved sellers list goods. In both we provide the place where people find each other. We are not the landlord, the seller, the buyer, or a party to any agreement reached through the service.
Everything you list is yours to answer for. By publishing a rental or a product you confirm, each time, that:
You are responsible for fulfilling what you sell: delivering it, describing it honestly, and settling any dispute, refund or return directly with the other party. Quick Homes does not inspect, test, authenticate, store or handle goods, and does not verify that a seller can deliver what they list.
The sell form can suggest a product name, a description and a list of selling points from a catalogue we keep of goods commonly sold here. Each entry is written from a specification published by the maker or by a shop that sells the same item, and we do not list a product we could not find one for. Even so, a suggestion is a starting point and nothing more: a specification can be wrong, it can describe a different version of the same model, and it cannot know the condition or the contents of the particular unit you hold. Using one does not make Quick Homes the author of your listing. Check every field before you publish and correct anything that does not describe what you are actually selling. Once published it is your listing, and everything above applies to it in full.
You may not list anything unlawful, stolen, counterfeit, or dangerous, and in particular you may not list:
We may remove any listing that breaks these rules, without notice.
Payment for goods on E-KARIAKOO is settled directly between buyer and seller on delivery, in cash or by mobile money. Quick Homes handles no payment, holds no funds, and provides no escrow, refund or buyer-protection scheme. The same applies to rent, deposits, commission and viewing fees on E-MAKAZI.
Because we hold no money, we cannot reverse a transaction. Inspect goods and property before you pay, keep your messages on the platform, and never send money to someone you have not verified.
Orders from several sellers. When your basket holds goods from more than one seller, checkout places a separate order with each of them. Each seller sends out, delivers and is paid for their own order, and you can track or cancel each one on its own; cancelling one does not affect the others. A seller sees only their own order.
Delivery. An order has three steps: placed, out for delivery and delivered. When a seller sends an order out, they record the name and phone number of the person delivering it and how long delivery should take, and the buyer sees a countdown to that time. It is the seller's estimate, not a promise by us. The seller must have the rider's agreement to share their details with the buyer. A seller may also send the rider a private tracking link. The seller must send it to that rider only. Through it the rider can choose to share their location with the buyer and the seller until the order is delivered. Only the buyer can mark an order delivered. Mark it once the goods are in your hands and not before, because it tells the seller the order is complete, and it cannot be undone. A seller may cancel an order only until they send it out. If goods come back undelivered, the seller records a return.
Flash sales. A seller may put a product into one of the day's flash sale slots at a lower price, for a set number of units. The product stays listed in the marketplace throughout, out of the same stock; a flash sale changes its price for the length of the slot and nothing else. “Sold out” on the flash sale page means those units are gone, not that the product is unavailable. That price applies to orders placed while the slot is running, and only until those units are gone; after that, and once the slot closes, the product returns to its usual price. An order larger than the units still left is charged at the usual price rather than split across two prices. A seller can withdraw a product from a slot before it opens but not while it is running, because shoppers are already looking at it. Everything in section 2 applies to a flash sale listing exactly as it does to any other.
Selling requires an approved seller account. Approval means we have reviewed the business details you gave us; it is not an endorsement of you, a guarantee of your goods, or a statement that we have checked them. We may refuse, suspend or withdraw approval at any time, including where listings break these terms.
You can report a listing, a message or a user, and we may filter, review, restrict, suspend or remove content and accounts that break these terms. If you believe a listing infringes your intellectual property, write to support@quickhomes.app with the listing and the right you hold, and we will review and act on it.
Moderation is a service to the community, not a warranty. Reviewing some content does not mean we have reviewed all of it, and removing some listings does not make us responsible for the ones that remain.
You may delete your account at any time from your profile. We may restrict or end access for fraud, abuse, breach of these terms, security risk, or where the law requires it.
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent the law allows, Quick Homes is not liable for:
Any claim arising from a listing or a transaction lies against the user who made it, not against Quick Homes. If you have a dispute with another user, you settle it with them.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under consumer protection law that applies to you.
If a claim is brought against Quick Homes because of something you listed, sold, or did on the service — including a claim that your listing infringed someone's rights, or that goods you sold were counterfeit, unsafe or not as described — you are responsible for that claim and for the reasonable costs of dealing with it.
We may update these terms and will publish the new effective date here. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. Questions go to support@quickhomes.app.
